Rui Fu’s summer internship at the Kearney: Global Management Consulting Firm allowed him to apply analytics to real world applications.
“My focus was to help a client that is a large sportswear manufacturing corporation find a way to cut operational costs by consolidating their distribution network,” Fu explained.
According to Fu, “my favorite moment during this internship was seeing the COO of the sportswear corporation be very excited and happy [with] our findings. I also enjoyed having the opportunity to lead in multiple meetings with the VP of transportation on my analysis in outbound transit time and shipment consolidation.”
Overall, the internship experience made an indelible impression. “Kearney is undoubtedly the best management consulting firm in supply chain and operations,” Fu said. “Working there helped me grow fast and build a reputation for myself, enabling me the possibility to pivot into corporate operations roles in the future.”
